Yatra

This installation titled “YATRA” is one of my earliest works as a 2nd year undergraduate student. Having developed an interest in Sculpture as a medium early on, I employed Molding casting as my primary process/tool to produce work.

“YATRA” in the literal sense means “a procession or pilgrimage, especially one with a religious purpose. The installation is a circular arrangement of human feet increasing in size with increasing diameter.

There were 5 individual’s in total, ranging from an 8 year old kid to a 30 year old man, each of whose foot casted in plaster.
