This work was a site specific work produced for a month long residency namely “Mansion” in Lahore that i was a part of.

The residency venue was a house belonging to a senior Art professor who had been living there ever since her childhood.

The interior space of the house underwent significant changes over the past 4 decades and refused to settle.

The work i made in response was a “Gramophone”, fitting a round mirror in it’s center instead of a music record.

The battery placed on the floor kept rotating the mirror, constantly negotiating with the space around and so anyone who viewed the work not just became part of it but also became part of the record of the age-old mansion (site).
