Mechanical threshing of wheat crop that involves separation of the “Wheat Grain” from the “Wheat Chaff”.
The wheat chaff/detritus being emitted from the power-driven threshing machine from the far right, forming a mound of detritus on the left of the picture frame.
My effort is as: “An enquiry of current social realities that emanate from earlier histories e.g. global capitalism as a corollary of colonialism.
The recurring use of wheat in my work reveals the colonial processes inherent in global trade & commerce.
