A time based installation that I documented back then in 2015, the first ever video work I produced..

Four figures constructed out of newspapers and tape were then wrapped in Barbed wire and set ablaze..

As one form deconstructs, another hollow form (barbed wire) emerges that are just empty vacant shells depicting being devoid of personhood or spirit.

Bowing in shimmering meditation, their ritual is equally seductive and hollow, questioning modern ideologies – from religion to nationalism – in relation to individual identity, social perception, devotion and exclusion. It’s a contemplation of the human condition as vulnerable and mortal. 

The Barbed wire shells were displayed as a separate sculptural work titled “Post Ablution.”
