The last of what has passed, and the first of which that comes

Of the 4 sculptural installations that my undergraduate thesis comprised of, this work to date holds immense significance for me as I consider it to be that one piece that marks the culmination of 4 years of undergraduate study. For a practitioner whose practice stems from the everyday, seeking immense inspiration from the great Italian Art movement of the 60’s namely “Arte Povera”, this work was a manifestation of my experimental, idea-driven practice that addressed notions of exclusion and exclusionary processes in context of current theories of philosophy and representation. I envision the everyday as a higher knowledge, from which stem other sub-knowledges such as Science and Religion.

The screen fitted within the found object i.e a water cooler in this case, plays a video on loop, of water flowing continuously through the taps, thereby blurring notions of time and space.
